Solution 1.)

Volume = 12ky^2 + 8ky - 20k

= 4k ( 3y^2 + 2y - 5)

= 4k ( 3y^2 + 5y - 3y - 5)

=> 4k [ y(3y+5) - 1(3y+5)]

=> (4k)(3y+5)(y-1)

Dimensions are :-

Length = 4k

Width = 3y+5

Height = y-1

Solution 2.)

Let (x^2 + 1) = a

=> 4a^2 + 13a - 12

=> 4a^2 + 16a - 3a - 12

=> 4a(a+4) - 3(a+4)

=> (4a-3) (a+4)

=> (x^2 + 1 - 3) (x^2 + 1+4)

=> (x^2 - 2)(x^2 +5)

By factorizing this:

4k( 3y^2+2y-5)
Now
solve bracket by 'middle term spiliting'

4k(3y^2+5y-3y-5)
4k(3y^2-3y+5y-5)
4k[3y(y-1)+5(y-1)]
4k[(3y+5)(y-1)
(4k)(3y+5)(y-1)

WE GOT THREE TERMS.

SO,

LENGTH=4K
BREADTH=3Y+5
HEIGHT=Y-1

4(x^2+1)^2+13(x^2+1)-12

4(x^2+1+2x^2)+13x^2+13-12
4x^2+4+8x^2+13x^2+13-12
12x^2+13x^2+4+13-12
25x^2+4+1
25x^2+5

5(5x^2+1)
