Air is a gaseous substance. The intermolecular between the particles in the gaseous form is negligible. Thus, the distance between the molecules of air is very high. Air being gaseous is compressible. Thus, by applying pressure the molecule of air can be forced to get closer. so they can be compressed. Thus,air can be filled in more proportion in tyres.
