Explanation:

the boy who shouted wolf

Once upon a time there lived a boy who was the Shepherd . He had to herd all the sheep of his village and the nearby villages to a hill near a lake where the sheep would graze the whole day and by evening he would take them home, this bored him so one day he decided to play a mischievous trick on the villagers. He climbed up on a high Rock and started shouting, " wolf!! there is a wolf it will eat all my sheep!!". The villagers hearing his plea run to his aid only to find out the sheep grazing peacefully and the Shepherd boy laughing his head out on the rock. They warned him not to do such a mischievous trick as he might get in trouble later on. The boy didn't pay any attention as soon as the villagers were gone him he praised himself for being such a good actor. After a few days the Shepherd was bored again he remember how his old trick had worked keeping that in mind he climbed again on that very same Rock and started shouting,"wolf!! wolf!! it's here for real!!". The villages not being sure what to do ran to his aid again only to make a fool of themselves. The boy hadn't learnt his lesson they were so angry on him the told him if that they won't come there even if the wolf came for real, they won't help him anymore as he had been making fun of them. The boy just laughed at their warnings after a few days a pack of hungry wheels approach from the woods and started attacking the sheeps one by one. The boy was terrified he called the villagers for help. Thinking the boy was playing a trick, the villagers didn't pay any attention this time and went on with the day. Due to the negligence all the sheep were down one by one until none left the boy was devastated he climbed on a tree and started weeping.

when the boy hadn't returned by the evening the villagers grew worried and went to check on him only to find him weeping and seeing many carcasses if dead sheep around the valley scattered here and there. after some intense moments the boy spoke up,"for this time they were real wolves, not just one but whole pack. I cried for help but none of u came to help me." this terrible incident taught him in a very tough way not to play pranks anymore.
