first of all
work done = force x displacement
so for the first case where both forces are doing same displacement, but force1>force 2.
therefore
work 1= force1 x d and work 2 = force 2 x d
since force 1 > force 2,
work 1 > work 2(as mentioned in the paragraph)
similarly, if u change both the parameters of work and make them variable term, then it is impossible to compare the work done without knowing the actual values.
