Answer:

26

Step-by-step explanation:

Given----> tanθ = 5

To find ---> we have to find value of Secθ by using the identity

Solution----> ATQ, tanθ = 5

We know that,

1 + tan²θ = Sec²θ

=> Sec²θ = 1 + tan²θ

=> Sec²θ = 1 + ( tanθ )²

Putting tanθ = 5 , in it we get,

=> Sec²θ = 1 + ( 5 )²

=> Sec²θ = 1 + 25

=> Sec²θ = 26

=> Secθ = ±√26

We take + value of Secθ because θ is acute angle and for acute angle all trigonometric ratios are positive .

So, Secθ = √26
