Let us write the given pair of equation as-:

21(1/x)+47(1/y)=110

47(1/x)+21(1/x)=162

These eq. are not in the form of ax+by+c=0

However if we substitute 1/x=p and 1/y=q in the given eq

21p+47q=110......(1)

47p+21q=162....(2)

p=110-47q/21 ....(3)   {from eq 1}

substituting the value of p in eq 2

47(110-47q/21)+21q=162

5170-2209q+441q=3402

-1768q=3402-5170

-1768q=-1768

q=-1768/-1768

q=1

substituting the value of q in eq 3

p=110-47(1)/21

p=63/21

p=3

p=1/x

3=1/x

x=1/3

q=1/y

1=1/y

y=1
