here is a similar answer I can solve it but . I had solved the similar question once so I copied it ok

By the figure BC=BE+CE

BE = x ( Parallel sides of parallelogram)

Angle B = 180–2z

in Triangle CDE

Angle E = B = 180–2z

Angle EDC = 180 - Angle E - Angle C

=> 180 - (180–2z) -z

=> 180 - 180 + 2z -z

Angle EDC = z

since in triangle CDE

Angle C = Angle D

then according to isosceles triangle i.e. ( sides opp. to equal angles are equal)

DE = EC

EC = x

Now BC = BE + EC

BC = y+ x
