lim ( Cos² x )/(Sin x - 1 )

x->π/2

put x = π/2 we get 0/0 form. Now By USING L'HOSPITALS RULE we have.

lim { 2 × (Cos x) × - Sin x }/ { Cos x }

x->π/2

lim { 2 × - Sin x }

x->π/2

-2 × Sin π/2

= -2.

"L'HOSPITALS RULE":- STATES THAT WHENEVER YOU GET 0/0 OR / FORM IN LIMITS. THEN DIFFERENTIATE NUMERATOR AND DENOMINATOR SEPARATELY TILL WE COME OUT FROM THESE TWO FORMS.
