put the value of x =-1
then it will be the zero of the equation
the value of k=1

g(x) = x+1

Put g(x) = 0

x+1=0

x = - 1

P(x) is divisible by g(x)

P(-1) = 0

( -1 ) ^100+ 2 (-1)^99 + k = 0

1 + ( - 2 ) + k = 0

1 - 2+k = 0

- 1 + k = 0

k = 1
