First lets find the number of terms from 5 to 74

∴ Number of terms =  74 - 5 + 1  = 70

∴ When we count numbers from 5 to 74 there are a total of 70 numbers.

1) Probability that the number is a perfect square :-

Perfect squares from 5 to 74 are :-

9 , 16, 25, 36, 49, 64   ...  ( Squares of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8  respectively )

∴ Total no. of squares =  6

∴ Probability that the drawn number is a square

=  6 / 70  =  3 / 35

2) Probability that the drawn number is a prime number less than 20 :-

The prime numbers from 5 to 74 are :-

5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73.

But Prime numbers less than 20 are :-

5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19

∴ Total number of prime numbers =  6

∴ Probability that the number drawn is a prime number less than 20 is

=  6 / 70  =  3 / 35

3)  Probability that the drawn number is a 2 digit number :-

The 2 digit numbers are :-

10, 11, 12, ....  74

∴ Total number of 2 digit numbers =  70 - 5  =  65

[ Except 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 all are 2 digit numbers ∴ Total numbers - 5 = No. of 2 digit numbers ]

∴ Probability that the drawn number is a 2 digit number

= 65 / 70  =  13 / 14.

∴ Answer :- 1) 3 / 35

                   2) 3 / 35

                   3) 13 / 14
