if his total salary is 1,then

4/10 + 3/10 + x = 1

(4+3)/10 + x = 1

7/10 + x = 1

(7 + 10x)/10 = 1

7 + 10x = 10

10x = 10-7

10x = 3

x = 3/10

his salary is still left with him is 3/10.
