Answer:

Given coordinates of sides of triangle are:

A(1,-1)

B(-4,6)

C(-3,-5)

x1 = 1 \\ x2 =  - 4 \\ x3 =  - 3 \\ y1 =  - 1  \\ y2 = 6 \\ y3 =  - 5

Area of triangle =

 =  \frac{1}{2} (x1(y2 - y3) + x2(y3 - y1) + x3(y1 - y2)) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2} (1(6 + 5)  - 4( - 5 + 1)  - 3( - 1 - 6)) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2} (1(11) - 4( - 4) - 3( - 7)) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2} (11 + 16 - 21) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2} (27 - 21) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 6 \\  \\  = 3 \:  {units}^{2}
