Answer:

Given:-

Solve :  \dfrac{x}{4} - \dfrac{2}{7} = \dfrac{5}{7} .

To Find:-

The value of "x".

Note:-

Here, first we will transpose the terms and calculate the terms for finding "x"

Transposing - For finding unknown values ( variables ) , known values ( constant ) needs to change their side and also signs are changed. For example - Negative becomes Positive, Divisional becomes Multiple.

Solution:-

 \huge\red{\dfrac{x}{4} - \dfrac{2}{7} = \dfrac{5}{7}}

 \huge\red{ \ \ \ \ The \ \ value \ \ of \ \ x = ?}

According to note first and second point~

▪︎ \dfrac{x}{4} - \dfrac{2}{7} = \dfrac{5}{7}

Transposing  - \dfrac{2}{7} ~

▪︎ \dfrac{x}{4} = \dfrac{5}{7} + \dfrac{2}{7}

▪︎ \dfrac{x}{4} = \dfrac{7}{7}

Transposing 4~

▪︎ x = \dfrac{7}{7} × 4

▪︎ x = \dfrac{28}{7}

After dividing 28 by 7~

▪︎ x = 4

 \huge\pink{The \ \ value \ \ of \ \ x = 4}

Checking:-

Let's check that two side equation calculations is equal or not as per equation means.

 \dfrac{x}{4} - \dfrac{2}{7} = \dfrac{5}{7} \implies ?

Applying the value of x~

 \dfrac{4}{4} - \dfrac{2}{7} = \dfrac{5}{7} \implies ?

L.C.M. of 4 and 7 is = 28~

 \dfrac{4}{4} × \dfrac{7}{7} - \dfrac{2}{7} × \dfrac{4}{4} = \dfrac{5}{7} \implies ?

 \dfrac{28}{28} - \dfrac{8}{28} = \dfrac{5}{7} \implies ?

 \dfrac{20}{28} = \dfrac{5}{7} \implies ?

 \dfrac{5}{7} = \dfrac{5}{7} \implies ✔

 \huge\green{Hence, Proved : The \ \ value \ \ of \ \ x = 4}

Answer:-

Hence, The value of "x" = 4.
