Total number of all possible outcomes, n(S) = 52.

(i)

Let E₁  be the favorable outcomes of getting an ace card.

n(E₁) = 4. {There are 4 aces in a pack of cards}.

Therefore,

P(E₁) = n(E₁)/n(S)

       = 4/52

       = 1/13.

Therefore, the answer is 1/13 ----- Option (1).

Hope it helps!
