Solution;

From the diagram;

R¹ =1 ohm.....

For R², we have;

1/R²= 1/3+ 1/3 === 2/3 ohm

R²= 3/2 ohm.......

For R³,we have to;

1/R³= 1/3+1/3+1/3 === 3/3= 1/1 ohm

R³= 1 ohm........

As they all are in series, the equivalent resistance will be;

Rš= R¹ + R² + R³

= 1+3/2+1 = (2+3+2)/2

Rš = 7/2 = 3.5 ohm..

Therefore, total resistance is 3.5 ohm.
