To prove: ar(XTF) = ar(YZE).
SOLUTION: In triangle XTF and YZE
angle XFT = angle YEZ ( CORRESPONDING ANGLE) (1)
angle FTX = angle EZY ( CORRESPONDING ANGLE) (2)
Therefore angle FXT = angle EYZ ( ANGLE SUM PROPERTY) (3)
Also FX = EY ( OPPOSITE SIDE OF llgram FEYX)
FXT congruent EYZ ( ASA RULE USING EQUATION 1,3 AND 4)
ar XTF = ar YZE ( CONGRUENT FIGURE HAVE EGUAL AREAS)
To prove: ar(XTF) = ar(YZE).
