Plz solve my question :-An electric lamp of resistance 100ohm, a toaster of resistance 50 ohm and a water filter of resistance 500 ohm are connected in parallel to a 220 V source. What is the resistance of an electric iron connected to the same source that takes as much current as all three appliances and what is the current through it?

well, we use parallel circuit system here.
So the total resistance R will be given by:-
1 \div r = 1 \div 100 + 1 \div 50 + 1 \div 500
r comes out to be 500/16

Calculating current, by V=IR,
I is 176/25.

Since same source is used, V will remain 220V
since current is equal,
R=V/I again.

R comes out to be 22000/706 or 31.16 ohm

total current of circuit=current through electric iron
v=IR( where I=total current of the circuit and R=total resistance)
220=R×(2.2+0.5+5)
220=R×3.2
R=220/3.2
R=68.7 ohm
