Laws of refraction

1.incident Ray and refracted Ray,and normal at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane

2.sin I/sin r= constant

When light is going from vacuum to another medium, then value of refracted index is called absolute refractive index

Refractive index=speed of light in vacuum/speed of light in medium

laws of refraction...

(i) incident ray , refracted ray and normal lie on same plane.

(ii) the ratio of angle of incident to the angle of refraction is constant for the given pair of media where ...

 \frac{ \sin(i) }{ \sin(r ) } = constant

it is also called Snell's law.

Absolute refractive I is known as hlthe ratio of seep of light in vacuum to the speed of light in that medium.

here is ur ans...hope it helps you
