Given polynomial, p(x) = x^3  + 5x^2 + 8x + 2

Quotient, q(x) = x^2 + 4x + 3

Remainder, r(x) = x - 1

g(x) =  ?

We know that, p(x) = g(x)*q(x) + r(x)

Hence, g(x)*q(x) = p(x) -r(x)

           g(x)*(x^2+4x+3) =  (x^3  + 5x^2 + 8x + 2) - (x-1)

            g(x)*(x^2+4x+3) =  x^3  + 5x^2 + 7x + 3

        Hence, g(x) =  (x^3  + 5x^2 + 7x + 3)/(x^2+4x+3)

           Thus , g(x) = x+1
