jiniliya: the angle became 106° .. because the angle 40°is alternate angle to ∆ABC ..then sum of 40 +34 =74and the sum of angles of triangle is 180 °..so 180-74=106°..

angle B is an alternate angle of angle D
angle D = 40° = angle B

so now from

triangle ABC ,

angle A + angle C+ angleB
= 180°
34° + angle C + 40 ° = 180°

angle C= 180° - 34°- 40°

angle C= 180° - 74 °

angle C = 106°

so the value of angle ACD = 106°

jiniliya: your answer is incorrect please correct it
TheLostMonk: its right ,its ans 106°

Hola Mate !!

Here's your answer :-

As AB is parallel to DE , BD is a transversal.
So, angle ABC = angle CDE
=> ang. ABC = 40° {•alternate interior angles are equal}

ang. CAB + ang. ABC + ang. ACB = 180° {•angle sum property of a triangle }
=> 34° + 40° + ang. ACB = 180°
=> 74° + ang. ACB = 180°
=> ang. ACB = 180° - 74°
=> ang. ACB = 106°

SO, the value of angle ACB is 106°

Hope it helps
