then,find the area of another semicircle having diameter 6cm and radius =3cm .

area =

$\frac{22}{7} \times 3 \times 3 \div 2 = \frac{198}{21}$

now find the area of big semicircle ABC

area of shaded region = area of both small semicircle - area of big semicircle.
