plz solve this. 5^x-3 *3^2x-8 =225

5x-3.  32x-8 = 225
                 = 75 x 3
                 = 25 x 3 x 3 
                 = 5 × 5 x 3 x 3
                 = 5^2 × 3^2

If you compare both sides, then we get two equations as below.

x − 3 = 2
2x – 8 = 2 

You can solve any of them to get the value of x.

2x – 8 = 2
2x = 2 + 8 = 10
x = 10/2 = 5

x= 5

Anonymous: No, we add r subtract the powers when bases r equal. But here we have a variable x n we need to find its value. We already r given with RHS=LHS. So it is possible.
