An object is placed at a distance of 30 cm from the pole of a concave mirror of focal length 15 cm . Find the position of the image . what is its magnitude???

the image is virtual,erect,The distance of the object from the mirror is twice the focal length and hence the image would be at the same position as the object.

take u = -30 cm
f = -15 cm
1/v = 1/f -1/u = -1/15+1/30
= -30+15/15*30
=-15/450
v = 450/15 = -30cm
