for the third degree polynomial eqn.
we have ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d

Roots are:
a + b + g = -b/a
ab + bg + ga = c/a
abg = d/a

Acc to given ques.
a is 1
b is p
c is q
d is 2

Substitute the values in formulae to calculate roots of eqn.

Here abg are alpha beta gamma respectively.

Hope you get your answer.
