transverLet line p cuts line S and T on points B and A respectively.
similarly,line q cuts line S and T on points D and C.
Now,
angle BDC =70 degree ( vertically opp. of angle D)
since, S is the transversal line,
therefore,
y + 70 = 180 ( co-int. angles)
y=110 degree
Now,
angle ACD=40degree ( corresponding angle of A)
since,
T is transversal line,
therefore,40+x=180 (linear pair)
therefore,x=140degree.
Hence, y=110degree
x=140degree.
