Distance between A and B = d

d =  \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1})^{2}  + ( {y2 - y1})^{2}}

d =  \sqrt{ {8}^{2}  +  { - 6}^{2} }

d =  \sqrt{64  + 36}  =  \sqrt{100}  = 10

Therefore, d= 10
