Here is your solution :

Let the numbers are x and y.

Where, x > y.

A/Q,

=> 2x = 2y + 18

=> 2x - 2y = 18

=> 2( x - y ) = 18

=> ( x - y ) = 18 ÷ 2

=> ( x - y ) = 9

=> x = ( 9 + y ) --------- ( 1 )

And,

=> ( x / 5 ) + ( y / 3 ) = 21

=> ( 3x + 5y ) / 15 = 21

=> ( 3x + 5y ) = 21 × 15

=> ( 3x + 5y ) = 315

=> 3x = 315 - 5y

=> 3x = 5( 63 - y )

•°• x = [ 5( 63 - y ) ] / 3 ------------ ( 2 )

From ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) we get,

=> ( 9 + y ) = [ 5( 63 - y ) ] / 3

=> 3( 9 + y ) = 315 - 5y

=> 27 + 3y = 315 - 5y

=> 5y + 3y = 315 - 27

=> 8y = 288

=> y = 288 ÷ 8

•°• y = 36

Substitute the value of y in ( 1 ),

=> x = ( 9 + y )

=> x = 9 + 36

•°• x = 45

Hence, the numbers are ( 45,36 ).

Option b.) ( 45,36 ).
