Therefore, we can use the formula:

v2 = u2 + 2as
acceleration here is the acceleration due to gravity (g) and the displacement is the height of the body,

Now the equation becomes,

v2 = u2 + 2gh
v2 = u2 + 2gh
( 340)^2 = u2 + 2×10×500
115600 = u2 + 10000
115600 - 10000 = u2
105600 = u2
u = root of 105600
