we get square- meter unit of a rectangular shape from its Area
which is ( Length × width ).
calculating perimeter does not give result in Square-meter , it will give result in meter
and in the question has asked for total cost at rate of 20 rupees/ sq-mt
so for solution, we will calculate the area of the carpet ,
Area = ( 13.4 × 9.2 ) sq-mt
area = 123.28 sq-mt
Hence the total cost will be ( 123.28 × 20) rupees = 2465.60 rupees
