Ok if f (x)= x3 and (i)= f then -6x2+ 24x+4 your answer would be 4x

The differentiation of f(x) = 3x^2 - 12x + 24

To find the extreme value put the differentiation=0

Because it will give the slope of tangent =0 and the function will get max or min value at this point.

3x^2 -12x +24 =0

x^2 -4x+6=0

x= [4+-√(16-24)]/2

which doesn't get real values.

So the slope will not zero for real values and function will not get max or min values
