Given :   A Field divided into  some triangle & trapezium

To Find :  Area of the field

Solution:

Area of Field =  Area  of ΔAGB  +   Area  of ΔCGB  + Area  of ΔAFE + area of Trapezium FCDE

Area  of ΔAGB  = (1/2) AG  * GB   = (1/2) * 30 * 50  = 750 m²

Area  of ΔCGB  = (1/2) CG  * GB   = (1/2) * (30 + 60) * 50  = 2250 m²

Area  of ΔAFE  = (1/2) * AF * FE  = (1/2)(30 + 60) * 40  = 1800 m²

area of Trapezium FCDE   = (1/2) ( CD + FE) * CF  = (1/2) (20 + 40) * 30

= 900 m²

Area of Field =   750 + 2250 + 1800 + 900   = 5700 m²

Area of Field =   5700 m²
