let AB denotes the height of the tower

BC denotes the height of the flag

tan 30°= AB/AP

1/√3=AB/AB

AP= √3AB.............EQUATION 1

tan60°= AC/AP

AP= 1/√3(AB+5{HEIGHT OF THE FLAG})............EQUATION 2

From equation 1and 2

we get,

1/√3(A+5)=√3AB

3AB=AB+5

2AB=5

AB= 5/2

AB= 2.5

therefor the height of the tower is 2.5 m
