Step by Step Explanation:

Given, Divisor = x + 3 and Dividend = 2x³ - 3x² - 23x + 12.

Step 1:

Multiply the part of the Quotient with divisor = 2x²(x + 3) = 2x³ + 6x². Then, Subtract 2x³+6x² from 2x³ - 3x² - 23x + 12.

Step 2:

Again,multiply the part of the quotient by the divisor -9x(x+3)

= -9x² - 27x. Then, subtract -9x² - 27x from -9x² - 23x + 12.

Step 3:

Subtract 4x + 12 from 4x + 12, we get 0.

Verification:

Dividend = Divisor * Quotient + Remainder

               = (x + 3) * (2x² - 9x + 4) + 0

               = (x * 2x²) - (9x * x) + (x * 4) + (3 * 2x²) - (3 * 9x) + (3 * 4)

               = 2x³ - 9x² + 4x + 6x² - 27x + 12

               =  2x³ - 3x² - 23x + 12

Therefore, Quotient = 2x^2 - 9x + 4, Remainder = 0.

Hope it helps!
