Initial momentum = 0
Final momentum = 50v + 0.5×2
[where v is speed of man just after he throws the stone]

Total momentum should be conserved
Initial momentum = Final momentum
0 = 50v + 1
v = -0.02 m/s
[-ve sign because man will travel in the opposite direction of stone]

Time taken by stone to reach ground = Distance/Speed
= 10m / 2m/s
= 5 seconds

Distance travelled by man in 5 seconds = Speed × Time
= 0.02 × 5
= 0.1 m

Distance of man above the floor after 5 seconds = 10m + 0.1m
= 10.1 m

(b) is the correct option.
