Take L.C.M of 4 and 6=2×2×3=12

 =  >  \frac{x}{4}  \times  \frac{3}{3}  =  \frac{3x}{12}

 =  >  \frac{48 - x}{6}  \times  \frac{2}{2}  =  \frac{96 \times 2x}{12}

 =  >  \frac{3x + 96 - 2 x }{12}

 =  >  \frac{3x - 2x + 96}{12}  =  \frac{x + 96}{12}  = 24

 =  > x + 96 = 24  \times 12

 =  > x + 96 = 288

 =  > x = 288 - 96

 =  > x = 192

Answer:

x/4 + 48-x/6 =9

here we have to take LCM

therefore,

6x+192-4x = 24×9

2x+192=216

2x= 216-192

therefore,

2x=24

so, x=12
