an artificial satellite is moving uniformly in a circular orbit of radius 42250km . find its speed if it takes 24 hrs to revolve around the earth..

distance covered = circumference = 2πr = 2×3.14×42250 = 265330 km
speed = distance/time = 265330/24 = 11055.42km/hr

Hey there!

Given,

Radius (r) = 42250 km

Time (t) = 24 hours

Distance will equal to perimeter of the orbit

= 2πr

= 2π * 42250

Speed of artificial satelite  

= 2π * 42250/24

= 11059 km/h
