Answer:

Given :-

➪ x² - y² + 6y - 9

Solution :-

➪ x² - y² + 6y - 9

➭ x² - (y² - 6y + 9)

➭ x² - {(y)² - 2 × y × 3 + (3)²}

➭ x² - (y - 3)²

➭ {(x)² - (y - 3)²}

➭ (x + y - 3) (x - y + 3)

∴ The value of x² - y² + 6y - 9 is

(x + y - 3) (x - y + 3)

Formula used :-

➪ a² - b²

➭ (a + b) (a - b)

➪ (a - b)²

➭ a² - 2ab + b²
