sum of the zeroes of the polynomial = α + β = -b/a =  -1/2

-b = -1 => b= 1

and a = 2

now, product of the zeroes = αβ = c/a = -3

=> c/2 = -3 => c = -3 x 2 = -6

so, the quadratic equation will be:

x² - (α + β)x + αβ

= x² -(-1/2) -3

= x² +1/2x -3

= 2x² + x - 3
