 {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }  = 66 \\  \\ {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } - 2 = 66 - 2 \\  \\  {x}^{2}   +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }  - 2(x)( \frac{1}{x} ) = 64 \\  \\  {(x -  \frac{1}{x}) }^{2}  = 64 \\  \\ x -  \frac{1}{x}  = 8
