Solution

Given :-

  • Base of triangle is 15 cm .
  • Area of triangle is 0.9 cm² .

To Find :-

  • The altitude ( height ) of triangle.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let height of triangle be x

As we know that :-

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Putting the respective value,

0.9 = 1/2 × 15 × x

0.9 × 2/15 = x

x = 0.9 × 2/15

x = 0.12

Hence,

The altitude of triangle is 0.12 cm.

GIVEN:

  • Base of triangle=15cm
  • Area of triangle=0.9cm²

TO FIND:

  • Altitude of triangle.

ASSUMPTION:

Let us assume that length of altitude of triangle be x.

SOLUTION:

★Area of triangle=1/2×base×height

0.9cm²=1/2×15cm× x

0.9×2/15=x

0.12cm=x

So the altitude of triangle=0.12cm.
