=3x+2x+2x=20+5-4
=7x=21
x= 21/7
x=3
in the first step solve which is in the bracket and then in next step bring same cofficient numbers in each side. and then solve accordingly to the signs.......

3x + 2(x + 2) = 20 - (2x - 5)
=>3x + 2x + 4 = 20 - (2x - 5)
=>3x + 2x + 2x = 20 * 5 - 4
=>7x = 100 - 4
=>7x = 96
=>x = 96/7
=>x =13.71
