join A toC as the diognal
know , ABC is a right angle triangle
use
 \frac{1}{2} {10}{ \times 24 = 120}
120m sq is the area of of triangle ABC

Now,
similarly in triangle ADC
 \frac{1}{2}  \times 16 \times 18 = 144
144m sq is the area of triangle ADC
Now add both area
area of quadrilateral=area of ABC+ area of triangle ADC
=120+144
=264m sq
