Answer:

solve x^{2} +4x-5as

          x^{2} +5x-x-5

     =x(x+5)-1(x+5)

     =(x-1)(x+5)

now solve

x^3-x\\x(x^2-1)\\x(x-1)(x+1)\\

now

\ \lim_{ x \to\ 1} x^2+4x-5/x^3-x\\\\\ \lim_{x \to\ 1} (x-1)(x+5)/x(x+1)(x-1)

now (x-1) disappears  and we get

\lim_{x\to \ 1} (x+5)/x(x+1)

now put value of x=1 in the equaton and solve as

         (1+5)/1*(1+1)

       =  6/2

       =  3
