Option (B) = (18 - π)/4 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Here Side of Square = 3 cm

Diagonal of a Square = √2 × side

∴ Length of diagonal = 3√2 cm

Given that diameter of circle = 1/3 × diagonal of square

Diameter = 1/3 × ( 3√2)

               = √2 cm

∴ Radius of circle = √2/2 cm          [∵ Radius = Diameter/2]

Now, you can observe that  Area of Shaded Part can be obtained by

= 2 × ( Quarter Area of Square) - 2 × ( Quarter area of Circle)

= 2 × [1/4 × 3²] - 2 [1/4 [π (√2/2)²]

= 9/2 - π/4

= (18 - π)/4 cm²
