x(x-7)-6(x-7)=
x(x-22)-18(x-22)
x^2-7x-6x-42=
x^2-22x-18x-396
x^2 gets cancelled.
-x-42=-40x-396
0=-40x-x-396+42
0=-41x-356
354=-41x
x=354/-41
x=-8.6
the number is -8.6
