1.First draw an line segment 5.5cm .

2.Open your compass and measure more than half of 5.5cm

3.Place the measured compass on left end of the line segment and draw arcs on both the sides.

4. Place the same compass on right end of the line segment and draw arcs on both the sides bisecting the previously drawn arcs .

5. Mark the points where both arcs intersect.

6. Join the 2 points to get a line .

7. The line is the required bisector.
