all examples given so far illustrate that there is a resistance offered by an object to change its state of motion . if it is at rest it tends to remain at rest; if it is moving it tends to remain at moving. this property of an object is called its inertia .

1.if a car moving forward it will continue to moving forward unless friction or the brakes interferes with its movement.

2. if you are rolling a cart with something on top and you hit something that makes the cart stops , what is on top may fall off.
