6) area of the square = 441 m²

therefore , side of the square = √ 441 = 21 m

7a) ab =6 cm and BC = 8cm

from Pythagoras theorem ,

h²= p²+ b²

therefore , h²= 6²+8²

h= √6²+8² = √ 100 = 10 cm

b) ac = 13 cm and BC = 5cm

from Pythagoras theorem ,

h²= p²+ b²

therefore p² = h²-b²

p= √13²-5²=√144= 12 cm

8) the no. of extra plants needed for this would be 24 .

9) 5 children would be left out in this arrangement .
