Islam is one of the largest religions in the world and it is growing more quickly day by day. Islam began in the 7th century AD in the country which is Saudi Arabia and it is the most hardest place to live with a land of desert, bare mountains, burning sun and a little amount of water. People in that country are called Arabs. Arabs couldn’t join together because they kept moving from place to place. They didn’t have one ruler but many small rulers in local tribes and towns. Arabs worshipped different types of god such as gods of water and trees but their most important shrine was at Mecca. It was a block of black stone called Kaaba and in every sacred month all fighting was stopped and many tribesmen came to Mecca to worship their own gods. Allah has sent human being his message of change for society and he was Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Muhammad was born in a poor yet a noble family. He lost both of his parents at a very young age and was brought by his grandfather later his uncle. When Muhammed was about 40 years old, while meditating in a cave Angel Gabriel came to tell him that Allah now has made him his prophet and the angel told him everything Allah said for the next twenty years. Quran teaches us that there are many prophets who told people what Allah wanted and some of the prophets are Moses, Abraham, David, Jesus but Muhammad was the last. Muhammad died in AD 632 but everything the angels said to him was written down in Quran. Quran is the holy book and it is so holy that it must not be put on the ground or touch anything dirty. It is designed with beautiful writings.
