Answer:

Radius of plate = 20 cm

diameter = 40 cm ( 2 × radius)

π = 3.14

Therefore, area of top circle

= πr² = 3.14 × 20×20

= 1256 sq.cm

Therefore, to polish the top surface of 12 such plates

= 12.56 × 12 (converted into metre)

= 150.72 sq cm

Rate of polishing per sq.m = 450 rupees

Therefore, polishing for 12.56 sq.m = 12.56 × 450 = 565,2 rupees.

Answer = Cost for polishing 12 such plates will be 5652 rupees.
